MISS BLING, LIVING HER DREAM!
They say diamonds is a girl best friend but with the help of Miss Bling diamonds have become a unisex fashion statement. From Blinged cups to flashy but classy gym shoes Miss bling, which is also known as “Da Bling Diva” can turn anything from plain to Blingtastic! It started out as a hobby something for her to do to pass time, but also a way for her to stay unique and stylish. First it was just regular Tee shirts that received upgrades when Bling used Swarovski Crystals to make different designs on the T’s. Then the oversized Margarita glasses in her house welcomed the same treatment as she handcrafted symbols and words all over the glasses. As friends and family began to see the different odds and ends she created they asked her to use her skills on their items too.
Before she knew it Bling was customizing all her clothes and anything else that she could put her hands on, she even blinged out her cell phone a.k.a the BLINGLINE! Her name started floating around town especially in the club scenes where everybody wanted Miss Bling to create something “custom” just for them. From Stunna Shades to the interior and exterior of vehicles, If you bring it, she Will Bling it! Each item is customized to your style and made just for you. Since her passion is creating and catering to the Stars you become a celebrity in your own right with the help of Miss Bling.
Her first celebrity client was Twista with a hint of creativity she designed a pair of multicolor Chanel Stunna Shades for his new rap video “pimp like me” off his new album Adrenaline Rush 2007. Also, as seen on much television shows and on thousands of myspace pages Bishop Don Magic Juan and the rap legend Snoop Dogg also owns a pair of Miss Bling’s custom Stunnas named the “Don Juan Stunnas”. With pure determination she made a gift package for the One and Only Beyonce that included sunglasses that spelled the superstars name across the front of them. The gift was hand delivered to the Diva at a party right after the star’s concert in Chicago. Da Blingy Diva sponsored the Chicago battleground 06’ by blinging out 70 mini brandy bling glasses and a exotic Blingy Glass for the winner in two days! Miss bling is her own publicist. She promotes the bling herself by being what she calls “walking blingvertisement”. One of her corporate clients was Bomba Energy Drink Co., She blinged out their models runway and promotional outfits. Once again, with just a day to bling out six of the models dresses, Miss Bling worked 20 hours straight designing these blingy & posh hand grenades which were Bomba’s logo, on all the dresses. Hand crafted with Swarovski Austrian crystals, one by one, each dress had over 1200 crystals a piece that were added one by one! Her favorite Blingy Creation was done for the next upcoming artist from Chicago, Gino Baby aka KING GINO. She is his custom blingy stylist. The uniquely designed creation was a 3-D Blingy Skull belt buckle named Sharlie which was hand crafted with over 1000 Crystal AB Swarovski crystals. What makes this the blingyest of them all is that the skull eyes are mirrors and the mouth opens and closes with a blingy grill designed with aqua and canary yellow crystals! This creation is only one in the world thus far! He also has a Blingy cup and a pair of Blingy King Chanel stunna shades to accompany his custom blingy belt buckle.
Not only is the West-side Chicago native a Blinged out Diva she is also a Radio Personality, Director, Fashion Designer and Producer. Just before she graduated Illinois Center for broadcasting in April 2007, Bling started The Bling Radio Show and Extreme Bling TV Show. Since May of 2008, Miss Bling was featured in E2K magazine, a few local news papers in the neighborhood she resides in, the Austin area of Chicago and the Chicago Red Eye newspaper which distributes 200,000 papers daily! “I was excited and overwhelmed with the “blingy luv” I was receiving from everyone! My life is really beginning to be like a movie,” said the 28 year old entrepreneur. Speaking of movies, Miss Bling will have a cameo appearance for the African king of comedy Michael Blackson’s movie Mutombo that will be in theaters early 2009! “Fashion and broadcasting is my first and second love, I always knew this is what I wanted to do” Miss Bling stated at a recent interview. In result of combining the two things she loves the most fashion and entertainment, Miss Bling started her own clothing line Konfident Diva Kouture and online publication, Extremeblingmag.com in September of 2008! Her work matches her charismatic personality. She giggled as she explained how people come up to her all the time mistaking her as a “STAR” or assuring her that she eventually will be one.
When asked what or who was her influence she thoughtfully said “My brother who passed in December of 2006. He was at the studio with me everyday I had to do my internship. He believed in me. We both have love for music. No one in the world could play a lead guitar or bass like him. They say he and I are the Jack and Jill of our family, gifted and innovative.”
