Ladies and Gentlemen, I now present to some and introduce to others, Ms. Lisa Cooper.
It’s your girl, Lisa Cooper, also known as Coop, LCoop, and also “the greatest thing since sliced bread”. Okay maybe not so much, but nevertheless, allow me to shed a little light on who I am and what I do. Daughter of Terri and Johnny, South Side born and raised, left-brainer with strong right-brain tendencies, overthinker at times, doodler, easily amused, classically trained vocalist, musician (and yes, there is a difference), writer, perfectionist, a girl who crochets scarves, fighter, hopeless romantic, semi-shopaholic, dancer, sports fan, 21st century hippie, actress, wine enthusiast in the making, frequent museum visitor, dancer, comedian (or so I've been told), teacher, text message master, puppy lover, future TV chef, hard shell with a gooey center...
My experiences range from performing on stage at Chicago State University, the National Black Theatre Festival, Apollo Theater of Chicago, and the Chicago Center of the Performing Arts. Since the age of 2, I have sung with countless choirs, gospel groups, and soul/jazz/pop bands alike. I can pick up almost any instrument and play it with skill. While developing my craft, I have managed to graduate from college, earn a second bachelors, and start a Masters program. Yes, this all sounds like I’m making this up, but I actually have proof of completing and excelling at it all. I really don’t have the space or time or divulge all of what I have done and can do…so just keep your eye on the television and newspapers and ear to the radio, because you will most definitely be hearing about me.
My goal in life is to become a renaissance women...and I am definitely on my way. If you have any questions, you can get at me via www.facebook.com/renaissancechic or www.twitter.com/renaissancechic.

Using inspirations from the Creator and visual expressions, I construct an environment through the synergy of art and music.
Born into a family of musicians, Juan Rodriguez took an early interest in composition. Growing up, he learned to play 5 instruments, conduct, and perform live. In 2004, Juan co-founded Hi Def Studios on Chicago’s South Side. The studio was created around the vision of being able to offer the best possible product for the musician’s budget.
In 2006, Juan took the position at premier art gallery, Gallery Guichard, as Curator and live production manager. At the time Juan was one of the youngest art gallery Curators in the country. In this position, Juan began to develop a different type of audio/visual experience for art enthusiasts. Drawing upon the energy of paintings and sculptures, Juan created custom music arrangements to complement some of his arrangements at the gallery for exhibit openings. In the 2009 fundraiser, “Transcending Violence”, Juan curated a storytelling exhibition and collaborated with Hi Def DJ Pro Pat to arrange a mix of instrumental music and local underground artists, live. This approach created an atmosphere to reflect the theme of the show in a way that captivated a diverse audience.
The artistic collaboration between fine art and music became Juan’s niche for live productions that has taken him to various premier art shows in New York, Atlanta, Boston, and Oakland, Ca. giving him a vast artistic network. Today, Hi-Def Productions has grown from a basic production studio to a full service production label offering an experience like no other from studio to live productions, mixing and mastering, producer and writer representation and promotion. The Hi Def experience is like walking into a gallery of sound.

Nicole states that her works are intense colorful messages whispering to the watching ears of the sub-conscience.

“Inspired by the word of the Father, the Master Creator Himself, many of my works are sometimes given birth to without plan or thought. The “eye” is the key to understanding.”

Work From Marcus:

Marcus Chavers Bio:
Many consider Marcus Chavers to be a man who wears many hats; a jack-of-all-trades so to speak. He operates as an entrepreneur, event planner, talent manager, aspiring music mogul and all around businessman, yet never wears himself too thin.

Born the second of three brothers, Chavers was raised in the Lake Shore neighborhood of Chicago’s southeast side. His interest in music began in 1993 at the age of the 14 when he began dancing with Untouchable Unity Dance Troup, better known as UPHIU, one of the elite dance troupes of that time. From that time on, the beat of music had been flowing through his veins.

Growing up an inner-city youth, Chavers decided early on in his life that he would not succumb to the negativity bred in his environment. He forsook fast money and gangs to avoid the inevitable short-lived life and pursued his goals by means of hard work. It was through his labor that Chavers discovered an appreciation for his life and the capabilities he is developing to this day.

Chavers’ received a diploma from the only all-male, historically African-American, Catholic college preparatory high school within the entire state of Illinois, Hales Franciscan High School. He chose to further his education at Chicago State University where he proudly received his Bachelor’s Degree in Management.

It was his diligence, humanitarianism and good-hearted nature that lead Chavers to seek others of his caliber. He then became a great asset to the brothers of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated where he currently serves as an active member of the Iota Nu Sigma Graduate Chapter.

In 2005 Chavers initiated his management experience with R&B trio Nexx Level. He has performed everything from event planning and marketing to networking for and personally assisting the well-known group. Indeed Chavers exemplified his ability to effectively execute tasks as he aided in Nexx Level’s rise to stardom.

As president of MJC Entertainment, Chavers gave birth to the Simply Real Music Series January 2008. The monthly Series showcases Chicagoland’s skilled and unsigned talent. Each event has a theme serving various styles of music including R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop and Gospel. The live bands in each showcase emphasize the already fine talent who present their melodies in ways undoable by inexperienced artists.

Chavers has had the opportunity to work with the personnel of Aneelys Records, an independent record label of R&B’s best kept secret Syleena Johnson. There he functioned as the Director of Entertainment and Touring. Recently, Chavers has just joined the team of Tommie B. (of P. Diddy's "Making His Band reality series) a talented song songwriter/artist based out of Chicago.

With his industrious nature and deep passion for music, Marcus Chavers has been allowed to cross borders that few have dared approach. He proves and a heart of persistence and positive thinking yields results that leads to uncompromised success. His experience and tenacity is sure to lead him up the path to becoming the mogul he aspires to be.

Recession Shopping

Hey here is a quick way to save a quick buck for the summer

instead of going to the movies right away after the release date, check to see if you have any movie theaters in your city or close by that play movies for 3 bucks or less and if so wait a while then go see the movie there.

Instead of going out to eat everyday start cooking and then maybe go have a meal on the beach or in the park.

Instead of going to the club every weekend, have a girls or guy movie night and buy a case of beer or a couple bottles of wine from Sam’s club and sit back and relax.

If u really want to get kinky go on to www.fiestamovement.com and see if you can hang with a fiesta agent in one of their cool cars.

I’m being cheated on............ I think!

So I’m sitting here and I started thinking about all the stories I’ve been told about how friends of mines have spouses that have been cheating on them, and the procedures they went through to prevent that from happening. Honestly it’s pretty dumb! We and I say we because I’m guilty of it too, we go through hell and back stressing about whether or not our boyfriend or girlfriend is going to cheat on us and in the end the only person that ends up hurt is us.

Honestly most of the time if you cheat through your entire relationship and you get caught you feel bad mainly because you got caught not because your truly sorry that you hurt the person you cheated on, because if you were then you would have just broke up with that person period. But any who we go through extreme measures to catch a person cheating like hiring private investigators, hacking into facebook, email accounts and twitters and honestly if and only if we find something we never leave the person, we just bitch about it and then the cheating spouse switches up on their style.

No matter what we do in life to prevent a person from cheating if a person is going to cheat then they are going to cheat, sorry but that’s the truth. So here are a list of not things not to do if you think you are being cheated on. These examples are based on true facts, honestly.

1. Don’t count condoms and then tell them you are counting condoms. All they are going to do is keep a secret pack that you know nothing about.

2. Don’t pop up at the house, if they have a feeling you will pop up at the house they will not go home.

3. Staying under your spouse all day does not prevent cheating if they really want to cheat on you they will go run an errand and have sex maybe in the car before they come home.

4. Doing a bed check for smells and spots will not prevent your spouse from cheating they will have sex in chairs, or on the floor, or just wash the sheets before you come over.

5. Calling all day will not prevent them from cheating they will have sex while they are on the phone with you.

6. Checking phones and facebooks and twitters and then letting them know your checking their stuff will not prevent them from cheating they will just change their passwords.

7. Checking your spouse for hair and lipstick and the smell of another man or woman will not prevent them from cheating because a smart person would just freshen up before they see you.

8. Telling your spouse they are not allowed to have the opposite sex as a friend is definitely not going to work because now days they could be having sex with the same sex.

9. Just because you tell your spouse you have a feeling they are cheating on you will not make them fly right it just makes them cover up their tacks.

10. Do not hire a private investigator save your money, it’s not like they are going to tell you what your gut hasn’t already said in the beginning.

These examples are not meant to get the cheaters caught up or to make people paranoid it’s to relieve the people who are being cheated on some stress. After we stop doing all of this think of how much time we will have on our hands to relax and take a drink. I say keep your daily routine and never let your spouse know that you are on to them, because one day they will get comfortable and reckless and before you know it you’ll have your bags packed and ready to go on a singles vacation with the money you would have spent on a private investigator

Building Your Recycling Factory
By
Photobucket
Derek “Pretty Boy” Dow

Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection[1] and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my boyfriend"). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
Love is an extremely powerful emotion; it can be irresistible and people are often bound to pursue their love interests. Love is a major theme in literature, poetry, and film.
Ok now that that is out the way and some of you are more educated to the definition of love I want to talk about what fuels it.

Now what it takes to fuel each individuals love is definitely on a case by case basis but I want to talk about the general points.

Most people love to use the circle as a symbol of undying love (i.e. the wedding ring). I like to think that great love should be represented by the recycling symbol. Why you might ask? Simple. The process of recycling takes something old and makes it into something new it constantly refuels and refreshes. While…the circle is just the same run around.

How does my theory go into affect in real life? Well look at it like this when you first start having sex missionary is awesome but after awhile it gets less appealing. People who live in the ring are doomed to fail because nothing new is being added. The people who are recyclers always add a new component to refuel and refresh.

Finding the Proper Mate

A lot of us even myself look for the wrong things in a mate. My downfall is looks I see a beautiful woman and I forget she has kids, her baby daddy a drug dealer, she whack in bed, she lazy, etc. I’ll ignore all of that just for the hour or two we are in public so people can see how fine she is. And I’m pretty sure you guys have your weak spots too. This can be fixed if you use the recycling technique. If you are honest enough with yourself to figure out what you need to be refueled and refreshed then you can find your perfect mate.

Meaning women if you know u need a man with money get one because it will not be fair for u to break down a good man with less money because he does not meet your standards. Men if you know you want a fully uninhibited woman who is totally open in the bedroom. Then don’t settle. Unless she has something so awesome in another part of her life that you can’t live without, her timid ness will soon start to piss u off. And that is counter productive.

We as people have to become honest with ourselves and get the perfect or at least the base ingredients needed to start our Recycling factories. Now the ingredients will change as we grow and evolve but that’s why we are recycling being open to new things that will refresh and recharge and constantly make things a new.

So take the time out right now and really think if the person you are with now is worth it. Does he or she really satisfy you in the way you want and specially the way you need. If not part ways you are hurting each other in the long run. It’s time to build your Factory.

So mad I’m so late on this game it is super dope.

So if you are a big fan of the movie “Wanted” like I am you are going to love this game. It picks up where the movie left off and it’s the S**t. I’m a huge duck and cover fan when it comes to shooters and this game has lots of that all over the place. The best part is curving the bullets. The first time you hit an enemy from around the corner you are going to be hooked.

My only downfall with this game is that it’s too too short. It just leaves you wanting so much more.

Ok after I saw this I Said. I’m taking my ass to the Gym so if this little dude roll up on me I can defend myself lol.

Quantity vs. Quality?

Hey blog world, today I wanted to discuss quantity verses quality, as you know there is a huge double standard between men and women even though women have come a long way to walk in some of the shoes men do, the sad truth is that double standards will always exist with the biggest double standard being the number of sexual partners women and men are allowed to have before it becomes unacceptable. Though it is more acceptable for men to have many sexual partners it does diminish the quality of man, because just like men don’t want females that have a huge number of sexual partners neither does the female. Being a woman myself I do find that it is a turn off if I meet a guy who has had sex with every chick they've met, because their self value has gone down. I don't want a guy that every woman has had, however it is more forgivable
because with men sex is physical and not mental.
Now some may feel that in a mans case the more women the more experience but I feel that you can learn a lot with just one person, it's just a matter of wanting to get to know each others body, and further more their likes. Plus both of you have to want to try new things because otherwise it just goes south.
Ladies I didn’t forget about you I love that we are independent but the truth is that the double standard in this particular case is never going to end. Anything men can do we can do better, but when it comes down to multiple sexual partners let's be honest it’s not really cute. No man is going to disagree with a woman that wants to just have casual sex because they don’t plan on taking you home to meet mom ever. If he does then deep down it was a mistake and he has yet to admit it.Now I hang around a lot of guys and I learned guys won't tell you if they think your a hoe. The sad truth is they will have sex with you even play house, but when they have the conversation with their guys about why u didn’t make the cut it's because they secretly think your a hoe.
This blog is not to offend women and it shouldn't especially if you are secure with yourself and if your secure with yourself then this blog will not faze you. Now I’m no angel trust and like I said before I'm not trying to offend anyone but it frustrates me that it's so many women that don’t own up to the fact that they use to be or have hoe like mannerisms. Not only that, they sit here and they say well if men can sleep around so can I and it liberates us, but no it doesn't it actually liberate us, it makes you a hoe and it sets the real independent hard working women back a couple of years. Ladies realize that that same man who has many sexual partners is still going to end up with a woman that has fewer to none sexual partners, and you are most likely going to end up 40 years old alone still hanging where the 22 year olds hang looking for a man. Blog world what do you think, does having many sexual partners diminish the quality of a woman or man? Does the quantity of sexual partners enhance the quality of sex?

Slept On - Ninja Blade

Slept ON Section

Ninja Blade

Ok I know it’s late that’s why it’s in my “Slept On Section”. Lol

Now I’m no super game head but this is one of the best I’ve played in a long time. Some would consider it a Hack & Slash but I feel its so much more. The cinematics in it are jaw dropping and the switch from live action to button reaction timing makes the game Great.

Critics beat the game up but most of the players are like me and they really enjoy it. You should check it out for yourself.

Get the hook up price:
Target: $19.98 (In Clearance Isle)
Game Crazy:$30.00
Half.com: $19.90

Death of Auto-Tune…No Death of Other Peoples Opinions

Ok what it do Guy’s? It’s your Boy Pretty Boy. Today I want to talk about how we as Men let other Men dictate what we wear.

First and foremost I want to give shout outs to Jay-Z and 50 cent for being great men in Hip Hop and in Business. Now that that’s done, I want to use them as the centerpiece to my opening statement. Only because they have voiced big opinions on peoples dress codes and lifestyles. Jigga single handily took dudes from hoodies and Jerseys to button ups, and in my opinion…well done. Only down fall is that Button ups had went up to $150 a pop. lol

Hopefully u were taught like me when growing up to be your own person @ all times. So why do we let the Jays and 50’s tell us what to wear.

In Jay’s new song D.O.A. Jay says “You’re jeans too tight, You’re colors too bright.” And 50cent questions Kanye’s sexuality due to his dress code. Now I’m not shocked by 50 that’s what he does. But Jay the man who was like: “If you don’t like what I’m doing it cost you nothing pay me no mind”, how could you not extend that same courtesy to others?

Now I’m not a big fan of skinny jeans or man bags but hey I’m just happy that black men are getting real style beyond baggy jeans and fitted caps. I mean I’m not saying go totally Mr. Bentley and I’m not saying stop wearing baggy clothes if that’s what you like. All I’m saying is be your own man period. If fashion is not what you’re into wear your dirty white shoes into your beautiful house. That’s what a friend of mines does and he lives across from Trump towers.

I just want for us as men to put our worth in our own opinions period. People yell gay this and gay that but the gayest thing you can do is let another man tell you how to be your own man.
