Carl has several other projects in development, but he says his biggest and most rewarding project is his three-year-old daughter Karly, who serves as Vice President of the enterprise, and a future leader of hip-hop’s new school.

Tiffany Torrence Davis
Known for her 2008/2009 appearance on Major television network Oxygen reality show “Bad Girls Club 3”, Chicago Native Tiffany Torrence Davis was recognized for her strong yet subtle presence on the show. While the show was only a lightening rod for her to come full circle with her passion for theater, Tiffany has spun into a professional career as an actress as well as starting her own non-profit organization. As a student at St. Francis High School Tiffany was a staple in the Theater Department, honing her craft in essentially every play the school produced. While at Bradley University, she also worked within the Theater department where she displayed her talents in various productions including The Laramie Project and The Vagina Monologues.

Her spontaneous decision to audition for the Bad Girls Club was just a mere thought not taken serious. “I was a huge fan of the show and it was just a joke, but I went all the way through”. An impromptu idea that became an overnight reality for the starlet has motivated her to pursue various roles that include securing a lead role in prominent writer Reshaunda Henderson’s play “The Mr., The Mrs. & The Lover.” Along with her 2009 play debut, she is also starring as the lead actress in G.O.O.D Music artist GLC’s single Clockin’ Lotsa Dollarz featuring UGK’s Bun B and the lead actress in R&B sensation K’Jon hit single, “On the Ocean.”

I’ve been a Chicago filmmaker for the past ten years. I’m in love with screenwriting, directing and sound design because for a film to be effective there must be a well-executed story or vision harnessed by the power of sound/music to unleash the maximum emotional impact on your audience. For me, cinema is the universal language that perfectly communicates to us all, which is why I think it’s the greatest artistic medium in the world.
As a film student in undergrad and grad school, the networking involved introduces me to so many different people all the time with amazing backgrounds that I wouldn’t have met in any other place.
I love horror films mostly and cannot imagine life without them! Also, good crime/courtroom drama shows rock hardcore, even my two cats love watching the crime shows with me as I cling to the pillows for dear life!
One of the best parts about Chicago is the variety of food and art. Pizza is great for lazy Sundays, but it’s all about Korean, Thai and Indian food every other day of the week! Travel, Painting, sketching, photography, and music are other passions of mine but don’t hold a candle to my love affair with film.

BIOGRAPHY:

Kevin Epperson was born and raised in Chicago. This is where he formed his great interest in movies and writing. He began writing short stories and poems in grammar school. During high school he decided that making movies is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. After high school he enrolled in Columbia College where he majored in Directing and minored in writing. He shot numerous student films before graduating. After college he worked for a year or so in feature films, working as a P.A. and a Grip. After a while his need to create overwhelmed him and he quit working on feature films in those aspects, and started concentrating solely on making his own movies such as “Mirror” and “Grit Operatic”(at which point the established a long standing friendship with Derek “Pretty Boy“ Dow). He then saved up enough money to buy his own equipment(high end editing system & camera) and formed his own production company. Since then he has made numerous short films, music videos, and commercials which he has shot with his friends/colleagues/partners Gabriel Marroquin, Derek “Pretty Boy” Dow, Gavin McCarl and John Weaver. Kevin is currently shopping around a feature length script entitled “Opposing Redemption”(a movie about God and The Devil gambling for souls), trying to get it produced.

Former CHA resident and Chicago Native, Wendell Tucker is no stranger to adversity. He has come a long way from his humble beginnings in the Robert Taylor Homes and Stateway Gardens. At age 28, Wendell Tucker has taken the road less traveled and in the process left an indelible mark on the world of theater.

On January 8, 2009, Wendell Tucker stepped out into the professional theater arena of Chicago, with his hit play “I Still Love H.E.R. (atributetohiphop)” and instantly began to set a standard for new urban theater. Whereas the vast majority of African American Theaters in Chicago cater towards the elder generation or children, Wendell and Theori Productions Inc decided to speak to the Hip-Hop Generation. Armed with years of training at Chicago State University, The North Carolina Black Repertory Theater, The ETA Foundation and the Negro Ensemble Company of New York, to say that he is prepared to lead the next generation of playwrights is an understatement.

That is not to say that his newfound achievements have come without struggle. As with many young people raised in the CHA Housing Projects, during his teenage years Wendell found himself in the center of the wrong crowd and making poor life decisions. These troubled years would culminate with him being expelled from Whitney M. Young High School and Chicago Public Schools. He would soon find himself at Olive Harvey Middle College H.S., an alternative high school, and under their tutelage and guidance he would rediscover his love for the arts and begin upon a new path.

Today, Wendell is focusing far more on his future than his past. After months of stellar reviews and sold out performances, his show "I Still Love H.E.R. (atributetohiphop)", has been extended for a six month run at the Chicago Center for Performing Arts. Since opening night in January, the underground sensation has exploded into a mainstream powerhouse, garnering much acclaim. “‘I Still Love H.E.R.’ is an important step towards the healing of an ailing generation,” said director and playwright Wendell Tucker. Future projects take on Suicide amongst Black Males, Gang Violence and the debilitating condition of post-partum depression. With relevant subject matter, a fresh new voice and training at the hands of masters of theater, “Chicago’s August Wilson” is ready to take the world by storm.
