Musician…Singer…Songwriter…Actor B. Keys is the epitome of genuine talent. He is the breath of fresh air that the public has been waiting on. Refusing to be yet another cookie cutter act within the industry, B. Keys has only pursued excellence. He was classically trained on the bassoon & oboe and self taught on the piano, drums, and organ. The art of music and performance encompasses the true essence of who B. Keys is as a man and as an artist. Born on the Southside of Chicago, B. Keys is a citizen of the world when it comes to his artistic influences. He embraces the legacy of his musical forefathers and aspires to the works of his musical mentors. Blessed with the spirit of determination and humility, Brian Keys earned his first validation as an artist and performer when he was selected as a top finalist in both the Chicago Idol and the Aurora Idol -- he hasn’t turned back since. Brian continues to receive praise and accolades from his musical peers and community.
Combining his passion for the arts with his love for the community, B. Keys is also an active member of the Boys II Men Fraternity. This organization works with male youth by serving as positive role models in the areas of academics, family and civics. B. Keys is also an advocate and vanguard for several other issues including domestic violence, breast cancer awareness, higher education, AIDS/HIV and so much more. His vision is to create an environment where people are respected for their differences and admired for who they are (-B. Keys). In acknowledgment of his hard work and dedication, B. Keys received the Phenomenal Man award from his community. Needless to say the sky is the limit for the future of B. Keys.
B. Keys can be found currently performing weekly at various venues throughout Illinois. Also B. Keys is a frequent guest host on the Underground Speaks to N.I.N.A. Say it Sundays airing on BlogTalk Radio.
